Since our inception in 1948, our cutlery has been recognized as "something special". In fact, we have believed that our success has been in a large part due to our many "fans" that have enthusiastically told their friends and neighbors about our great kitchen knives and utensils. We never tire of hearing an excited customer tell us matter-of-factly "These are the best knives I’ve ever used". We are proud to continue our mission of offering practical, useful and affordable kitchen knives and utensils that you will love to cook with! We are also excited about our new stoneware,soy wax candles and Quick Mixes that continue our tradition of providing superior products and value to our customers! Originally manufactured in Waterloo, Iowa, in 1974 we moved our operation 20 miles to Waverly, Iowa. At the time of the move 18 employees worked at Rada Mfg. Co. Since then we have moved to a larger building and have had to expand it twice to keep up with the demand that you, our loyal customers, have created for Rada Cutlery. Today, over 120 employees earn their living working at Rada Mfg. Co. Our product line has expanded over the years as we strive to meet the requests from customers. With growth comes challenges and changes in our operation but one thing remains the same . . . we never have a “dull” moment when it comes to producing the “best in cutlery” for you. We look forward to continuing our proud tradition. Rada Manufacturing Company is proud to be celebrating over 60 years of manufacturing remarkable kitchen knives and utensils. Since 1948 we have strived to provide our customers the best cutlery value for their dollar! Rada cutlery is made of surgical quality, T420 high carbon stainless steel. Our permanently cast solid satin-finished aluminum handles create a "feel good in your hand" balance for superior comfort. Hollow-ground blades ensure a precision concave surface for maximum edge retention and sharpness. And if that wasn't enough, all our environmentally conscious aluminum products are made in America and carry a Lifetime Guarantee. We are excited to announce the new Stainless Steel Resin (SSR) handle. This new handle is the same size, shape and weight as our existing Brushed Aluminum handle (and has the same blade steel too). The black SSR handles were developed for improved performance in automatic dishwashers. You will be able to select form six individual knives and five gift sets in the new SSR handles this year. We intend to add knives, utensils and gift sets each year for you to select from until the complete line is offered in the SSR handles.
